Just a short update on some of the happenings in the community over the last month, although I'll never manage to cover everything.
Our membership as always is growing stronger by the day, and I'm really pleased to see some great "testing" being done on the site itself! An unexpected benefit of housing a testing community, and so a load of great new ideas to streamline and advance the site's services are in the pipelines, or already up and running. A big thanks to all those with good suggestions, and of course karma has been liberally awarded to the best suggestions and participants.
We've also got a number of beta tests incoming over the next month, with developer discussions progressing really well and opening up a lot of possibilities for the community. As well as those that will be appearing over the following month I'm pleased to introduce the indie game Blood Frontier, which was added to the site today and is undergoing it's first phase of beta testing. Blood Frontier is a Quake-style FPS being developed open source by the indie community, which gives us a great chance to really get involved with a game and help mould and improve the already solid start made by the developers. The lead developer on this project is very open to new ideas and discussion, so head on over to the info page and forums and start making a difference.
We'll also be introducing a series of goodies and karma competitions to help members boost up thier karma and promote the B³ community, so keep an eye open on the files section. We'd also like to welcome any budding artists and designers to help us out by making some "fun" goodies such as banners, wallpapers and so on; the site discussions forum has any info and resources you might need so if anyone is feeling artistic jump on in and show us what you can do! Karma will be awarded to those with good submissions, and as above we'll be bringing in competitions to help members boost their karma also.
Until I can bring some more info, I'd like to thank everyone for their efforts so far and I'm looking forward to the next month when we can really get to grips with some games, and push the community even further. Remember: keep an open mind always, and if you think we've missed a game, or could benefit from some extra feature just let us know!
